This is not a 3.5 star place come on. Haven't read the other reviews but must be a bunch of griefers. I have ordered from here at least 20times. Super tasty and hits the spot. Just enough cheesy American style mex to scratch that itch while having some authenticness thrown in to keep it interesting.

Please do not call this Mexican food as it is insult to all Mexican food lovers. Call it American, Brooklynish, whatever, but do not call it Mexican. This warm goo of a burrito devoid of any discernible flavor with a baggie of a generic "mexican" sauce. No, it's not salsa in a baggie, it's just that, sauce. Never I was to a taqueria that just has bottled supermarket "sauces", but Calexico fixed it for me.

The final nail is the wait, 20-30 minutes on a Monday night. Brooklyn, what's happening? Who are these people that line up for absolutely tasteless, flavorless, soylent inspired food?

No splice. No taste. No, thank you!

Horrible customer service. I ordered online and of the three things I ordered one was missing, one was wrong, and one was correct (the chips, hard to mess up). But hey, mistakes happen so I called to let them know and see if I could get the food that I paid for. The woman on the phone was *extremely* rude and told me that since it was a Postmates order it wasn't her problem. When I tried to explain that not only did the food not match the Postmates order, the receipt *from Calexico* didn't even match the food in the bag she hung up on me. I called back to try to explain that I have a food allergy and just wanted to get something that I could eat but she just got increasingly hostile until she hung up on me a second time. At that point I decided to cut my losses. I love Calexico's food, but I won't be ordering from here again.

(Vegan review) The wait staff really know their stuff. Our waiter knew everything that was vegan or not. The burrito was great! Love that they put that wrapped burrito on the grill or grill he tortilla in the pan before they wrap, either way it's great. Would have liked a little more guacamole but other than that it's fantastic.

My non-vegan friends loved their food too. (Apparently the "crack sauce" is appropriately named but it's not 'vegan' crack sauce unfortunately).

I will definitely be back soon.

This is the last time I'll come to this hipster over-priced hole in the wall. When they first arrived to the neighborhood, the prices were reasonable and food was good. Now their chicken tacos are $5 and are mostly cabbage with a few pieces of chicken. It is also not uncommon to wait over 15-20 minutes for your food after you place your order in person. The icing on the cake is that I observed one of the cooks preparing food without any gloves on! I mentioned this to the cashier and he told
him to put gloves on. Maybe that's why they made me wait so long for my food. Time to find a new (and better) spot...
